Public asked to share expectations when visiting police stations across West Mercia
A consultation has launched giving the public the opportunity to share their expectations when visiting police stations in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
There are 32 police stations across West Mercia. While many people now prefer to contact the police online or by phone, Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion and West Mercia Police recognise that visiting a station remains an important option for many members of the community.
Open until Friday 6 March, the consultation invites residents to share their experiences and outline what they want improved, helping identify what is working well and where changes are needed to enhance the service offered at police stations.

PCC John Campion said: “As the voice of the public in policing, I know there is more we can do to ensure that when you visit a police station, you receive the level of service you expect.
“It’s clear that public expectations are not being met consistently. This consultation is your chance to tell us what works, what doesn’t, and what you want to see improved. I will use your feedback to drive change and work with the Chief Constable to make sure the service provided is of the quality you expect and deserve.”
Chief Superintendent Edd Williams said: “Whilst many people choose to contact us online or by phone, having the option to visit a police station still matters to some of our communities. People come in for all kinds of reasons; to report a crime, ask for advice, hand something in, or simply because they feel more comfortable speaking to someone in person.
“We want to understand what you expect when you visit us, and how we can make that experience as straightforward and supportive as possible. Even if you don’t visit a station in person, your views help us make sure they work for the people who do.
“I’d encourage everyone to take a few minutes to complete the consultation. We are listening, and your feedback will genuinely help shape how we provide this service in the future.”
