Help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support at the PCC’s coffee and chat event
To mark Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion is inviting Shrewsbury residents to enjoy a coffee and cake while raising money for charity on Friday 29 September.
The drop-in event is an opportunity for residents across the Shrewsbury area to come along and speak to PCC John Campion about local policing and raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support by purchasing a refreshment and cake.
The charity is a lifeline to so many families across the UK providing specialist health care, information and financial support for people affected by cancer.
As part of the PCC’s work to greater understand the views and experiences of residents in Shrewsbury on policing, the event will be taking place from 1.15pm to 2.15pm at Shrewsbury Library, Castle Gates, SY1 2AS.
A representation from the local policing team will be attending the event to answer operational questions that residents have.
PCC John Campion said: “I’m really looking forward to hosting my very own Macmillan Coffee Morning alongside engaging with Shrewsbury residents.
“The foundation of the coffee morning, which focuses on bringing individuals together, is something that resonates with myself and my work to bolster feelings of togetherness amongst communities.
“I hope people are able to attend this drop-in event and enjoy some cake and conversation all whilst raising money for a very important cause”.
There will also be a representative from West Mercia Police’s Shrewsbury SNT to answer any operational questions.
The event is FREE to attend and people can register their interest through Eventbrite.
