As a result of the current national crisis BP introduced the free fuel scheme, to supply fuel to emergency service vehicles for free, allowing West Mercia Police to fill up their service vehicles without charge.

Up until 29th April, BP have provided the force with £42,584 worth of fuel, free of charge.

Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion said: “I am incredibly grateful to BP for providing free fuel to our emergency service vehicles. The work West Mercia Police are doing is vital in keeping our communities safe and protecting those that are most vulnerable, especially during the current pandemic. Their generosity will enable more money to be put back into local policing to ensure this work continues and our communities are protected.
