The PCC has praised ten inspirational young people who were recognised this week at the 2017 Young Good Citizen Awards.
Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion said "These young people make such a valuable contribution to our communities, and it is important that we celebrate them.
"Their hard work and dedication is inspiring and I'm sure they will grow to play important roles in society as adults. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them on behalf of the public."
DPCC Tracey Onslow attended the event held yesterday (Thursday 19 October) at Police Headquarters, Hindlip Hall. Ten young people aged between 6 to 16 years from Hereford, Shropshire, North and South Worcestershire were awarded for overcoming challenges in their own lives while still making a difference to others in their community. The ceremony was run in partnership between West Mercia Police, the PCC and the High Sheriffs of Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire, who also presented the awards to young people from their county.
